It's taken me 5 days... 5 days to even bring myself to write this 😭 I know some of you probably saw it in my Story but that was not the way I need to remember my baby. Lewis @lokithagod941 wrote it so well, there's not much else to say like that. But this was AND WILL BE my only human or animal Child. He was the Fuzz Man. The Pibbs. My Pibble Monster Man. This is why I didn't post this earlier. I'm literally going to be physically sick bc HE'S GONE! HE'S FUCKING GONE!!! He was EVERYTHING to me!! Lew and him.... MY BOYS! My lil family... 💔 The ones that I love more than anything in the universe and the was our Baby Boy (even at 15 y.o.... aka 105 in dog years). HE WAS ALWAYS MY SIDEKICK WHETHER HE WAS RIDING IN THE CAR WITH ME OR US, PLAYING AT THE DOG PARK AND MAKING FRIENDS WITH ALL THE OTHER DOGS (even when the other owners were paranoid bc he was a Pitbull that wasn't even the least aggressive AND HE NEVER EVER LET ME BE SAD ALONE. Even after I almost DIED AND WAS RELEASED FROM THE HOSPITAL fighting for my life, he was right by my side in the bed next to me, always comforting me. I MISS HIM SO MUCH!!!! I feel like I made a HUGE mistake! even though my mom @randacupuncture went way further than out of her way to help us keep him for as long as we could. He couldn't see. He could barely hear.... My voice the only voice he still knew. I don't know what else to say right now. Lewis got him for me 14 years ago "for Christmas" after I had a Horrific miscarriage, and he became my baby boy. Now I'm pretty much past the age to have kids, so he was my child. You're over the 🌈 bridge now my Sweet Boy, and with Dojo and all your other homies you met on your adventures over the years! REST IN PARADISE, MY ZI ZI... Mommy will love you FOREVER... and I can't wait until i see you again 💙

It was a truly special night…new friendships were made across collaborations and communities. A beautiful reminder of what’s possible when we come together.

We know that all of this support will have a positive impact on the important work @larubeya is doing and help carry their mission forward.

@larubeyasurfing connects young people to surfing, water safety and mentorship. Creating space for more kids to get in the water and find community

As founder @aydon shares, this benefit will bring even more young people into the program and expand the work they’re doing.

12 artists, 9 shapers and one shared goal…bringing surf, art, and community together to support @larubeyasurfing

We’ve wanted to do something like this since we started five years ago, but never imagined it would grow into something on this scale.

What began as an idea has become a collaboration between artists, shapers, and a community, all coming together around a shared purpose.

The boards will be on view Thursday, October 1st @cafestudionyc 195 Chrystie St.
