kacey musgraves has more stories to tell. and she’s doing it in two languages this time. 🇺🇸🇲🇽

today, kacey announced ‘middle of nowhere vol. 2: tex mex tapes,’ a 16-song collection exploring the shared music, culture, and traditions of texas and mexico, two places close to kacey corazón (that means heart in spanish 😉).

the album is set to include “denim on denim” and four songs sung in spanish, including the recently-released version of “uncertain, tx” featuring intocable and “tu solo tu” with mariachi oro de america, live from mexico city.

earlier this year, she spoke with npr about the connections between mexico and texas.

“the truth is texas would not be texas without mexico in many ways,” she said. “though i’ve always been drawn to it, i’ve really been fortunate to get to really experience that first hand myself down there [in mexico] seeing a lot of the vaquero and rodeo culture and where it comes from. and seeing how far back it goes and seeing the direct influence that it has had as it’s worked its way into our texas western culture — i just have a lot of respect for it.“

can’t wait to hear this.

A little labor of love for a girls night out 🪩

Plot twist: I didn’t even realize Kacey sells one on her merch page! 🫠😂

If you want the disco ball vibes without the hours of rhinestoning, you can grab one straight from her merch shop! 💖🪩

Didn’t need floor seats to have the best concert night of my year 🤠✨. Sometimes the best view is not always the most expensive one. @spaceykacey is that girl! 🤌🏾

MIDDLE OF NOWHERE: DENVER 🤠✨

Some music finds you exactly when you need it.

Kacey Musgraves’ *Middle of Nowhere* became the soundtrack to one of the darkest chapters of my life. Somewhere between the music and the healing, I found my way back to myself.

October 13 in Denver felt like coming full circle. My heart is open, my peace is mine, and life has a beautiful way of surprising you when you least expect it. 😉

Still in the middle of nowhere. This time, surrounded by love and discovering just how beautiful it feels when the love you give finds its way right back to you. 🖤💋
