A literal moment of silence for my latest sewing project that took me 4 days! ✂️

Pattern used is the Rue Quilt Coat by @spaghetti_western_sewing
I made 9 patch blocks using 3” squares, sewn with 1/4” seam allowance for 7.5” finished blocks. Pieced those all together and quilted by stitching in the ditch and with a wool knit fabric as batting.

This was quite experimental and I was worried about shrinking & stiffness especially. It actually turned out great and it made the coat really soft & warm. It’s actually a great budget hack depending on where you buy the fabric. I got this wool fabric for a coat from “Driessen stoffen” for €8 a meter, it was too soft in my opinion for that purpose so it was great to still be able to use it ⭐️

I made the size 3XS and heard lots of people talk about how oversized this pattern is. Which it definitely is— but I’m notorious for drowning in jackets/coats and I actually find this one to not be too oversized.

All in all, it took a big chunk of my time but I’m super pleased will the result and hope to wear it loads 🍂💕
