Basketball is evolving into a conceptual game 🏀🧠 With constant player movement and changing roles, players must understand more than just skills — they must understand concepts. 🔑

Player development is where those concepts are taught, habits are built, and basketball IQ is developed. The game is changing. Player development must evolve with it. 📈

Build the movement first. Add the weight second. 💪

Long-term athletic development starts with mastering the basics before chasing bigger numbers.

Movement mastery > load progression. 🏋️‍♂️

@egreen_11’s ability to score off the catch has been a big reason he’s been able to play at a high level for so long. He does a great job moving without the ball and being ready to shoot as soon as it hits his hands. Being efficient goes a long way in extending your career. 🔑🤞🏀

💪🏾🔥 THE GRIND SESSIONS: BUILT THROUGH ADVERSITY.

At Team Takeover Basketball Academy, development goes beyond the basketball. 🏀

From push-ups and planks to sprints and wall sits, The Grind Sessions challenge our athletes to push past their comfort zones, embrace adversity, and develop the physical and mental toughness it takes to compete at the highest level.

It’s about discipline when you’re tired. Focus when it gets tough. And the mindset to keep going when your body says stop. 🧠💯

We’re not just developing better basketball players — we’re building stronger, more resilient young people.

The work is hard. The standard is higher. The mindset is DIFFERENT.

Great pace by @anjo.yette in the ball screen leads to a nice pull up jumper.

@iamjaredjeffers_ does a great job angling his screen and getting off the screen fast, creating an advantageous situation.
