🎄 ✨️ A Christmas Miracle!! ✨️ 🎄

*300* Stockings have been stuffed and filled-to-the-brim with thoughtful goodies and gifts! 🎁 They have been delivered and will soon be distributed to each child in the encampments all around Western North Carolina! This was a big undertaking, and ya'll came through 🙌🏼

I even had a little extra and was able to offer several other requested supplies. Those items will help some folks stay fed, warm, & rebuild. Thanks to America Cares for all of the coordination ♡♡

I want to thank each and every one of you that contributed or helped in some way. From donating to shopping to carrying loads of boxes to drop offs to stuffing stockings to sharing the cause... Truly, you have brought warmth & cheer to a community that has lost EVERYTHING.

🔺️ Helping Western NC || Trip Takeaways 🔺️

**please keep donating!**

■ The loads we took in multiple trips were *immediately* distributed to people in need 🙌🏼 You're blessing REAL people who are REALLY suffering.
■ The night before we came, a couple froze to death after sleeping on the floor if a shed 😭
■ America Cares is one of the main "ad hoc" donation/distributors & needs volunteers! (I can give you info)
■ If you donate supplies directly, ask what's actually needed. (Ex: our donations got snatched up bc I was intentional in what they REALLY asked for!)
■ Certain areas look like a warzone 😔 (mudslides; lots of trashcans in trees; huge felled forest; RVS smashed in tree tops; industrial dumpsters crumpled around poles; downed wires, entire neighborhoods/districts GONE, etc).
■ Witnessed the presence of the Army; Fema Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs); construction crews; debris cleanup; and humble helpers all around.
■ The towns that ARE open are desperate for business. They're also traumatized. While visiting, it was clear they are 🌟salt-of-the-earth.🌟
■ I worked hard to get word out abt Crisis Cleanup! Most people didn't have cell service and weren't allowed into their homes until recently. Expect work orders needing volunteer teams to increase the next few weeks 🙌🏼
■ If you do volunteer, please provide your own accommodations. Don't add burdens or take their resources. Car camping isrecommended.

■ The biggest, current need are Generators. Then, other Heat Sources. As long as you keep donating, I will obtain supplies and take trips to help! Any $ amount adds to the collective!! (100% goes to them)
■ FYI: Being there at peak time, we were lucky to be surrounded by vibrant Fall colors in the Smokey Mountains. It made for a spirit-driven & soul-stirring trip. Next week, Biltmore Christmas opens. Go visit! 🎄
■ Our hearts were overcome by both witnessing beautiful acts of service but also heartbreaking stories & scenes. It only made me want to keep serving. I mean, if we aren't helping each other in this world, what are we even doing?

🌌 BRB 🌌 | chasing a dream

My spirit felt alive while driving into darkness to seek this rare phenomenon. Oh, Aurora, she is an entity of beauty and awe. Frankly, I will do most anything to pursue a gorgeous sky full of light & color. So, it's no surprise that as soon as we spotted her, I pulled over right then and there and popped myself through the moonroof like a prairie dog checking on winter! ☺️ I quickly realized I wasn't cold despite the frigid temperature outside. Instead, my cells were refreshed and clarity seeped into my mind. I was full of wonder and JOY.

Heavy hearts. Hurt lives. Hard times.

Upon seeing this simple depiction, I deeply inhaled. As if my spirit was needing to breathe in a 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦.

Oh, how needful the promise that we can find respite and refuge within the light and love of God.

And, I believe we receive this promise - partly - through each other.

For, are we not here-on-earth to be emissaries-of-heaven? Providing help and uplift one to another?
