This year kicked off SLOW and it pushed me right back into grind mode. And honestly, I’m grateful. It made me restructure, level up, and tap back into a muscle I forgot I had. Team YC has been showing out ever since.

And crazy enough… just last year I was saying how terrified I was to take weddings. They gave me so much anxiety because the food is such a huge part of the day. But this year?
We’ve knocked out two, executed them flawlessly, and while they still give me a little nervous energy, I know deep down: I got this.

My goal has always stayed the same: serve great food, live out my little-girl dreams, and create a work environment where my team feels supported and appreciated. When my team is winning, the clients feel it every single time.

As we roll into holiday season and the final quarter of 2025, I’m walking in with my chin up and confidence to match.

🖤 October has been heavy and healing.

Lifestyle changes, doctor visits, therapy visits, and moments that reminded me what really matters. My health, my sanity, my family, and the friends who keep me grounded.

So many other moments this month like baby sis going to homecoming, mama in-law turning 75 and C3 stepping his reading up to chapter books 🫶🏽🥹

*Transparency Post about Egg Freezing*

First, wow. Shoutout to me for doing this and making it this far. I can’t believe I made it through egg freezing. As a woman, you never really know your strength until you see what your body can do. This is the most empowering thing I’ve done as a woman.

I want to give a huge thanks to @justaddhotsauce for being transparent about her experience which inspired me to finally do this. We as women will have different experiences and I’m sharing mine especially for my fibroid girlies!

I’m recovering from my egg retrieval and I’m so grateful to my body and my community of support who helped me get through this process. This has to be the most emotional, yet rewarding, yet taxing thing I’ve ever done. It’s a whirlwind of emotions.

I found so much comfort in so many Black women who either shared with me their experiences in reached our in curiosity doing it other own. When I started this process, I gotta admit I was not in the right headspace and I’m thankful I made sure I changed that so that my body and mind could lock in on this process.

I was blessed to have 22 eggs frozen, higher than the average at 35, as I know that’s not always the case.

Thank you to @reproductivepartners for literally being the best group nurses and women who encouraged me through this process. There were days when I wanted to quit and they encouraged me. This office is filled to the brim with bad ass women and I couldn’t have made a better choice. Thank you Dr. Brower, Nurse Becky, and Nurse Hennessy (yas girl!)

Ladies, if you are considering freezing your eggs, do research and do it. This is such an important decision for us as women, Black women, career women, as aspiring wives and mothers.

Shoutout to all my homegirls who came to my appointments, let me cry, pray, and just let me get my mind off of getting needles injected in me every damn day lol. @candyapplesngum @thegreatglaspie @dashthegrayt @sparklelynn @kpeezie

A bigger thanks to my best friends who in our group chat encouraged me and let me share each day of my injections because I was OVER IT lol @sallismoney @djhed @chuckdizzle @cheftashadorsey @sparklelynn

Thank you to everyone that pulled up to our Private Tasting for @bleubirdla You guys know how I passionate I am about what I do. Coming back to the area that kick started my career is a blessing itself. Our first legit spot was on Florence & Van Ness and now we are directly across the street.
