POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

A very exclusive Gathering of Ghouls — population: us. Old‑school monsters from the ’90s mixed with the current‑day creatures. Small turnout, huge haunt energy.

New episode of Earth Station Boo is here, and we’re pulling back the mask on haunt culture and sliding into Sliders of Ghost Town: Origin, the documentary that finally puts a spotlight on scare acting and the wild, physical art of sliding.

From where sliding came from and why it became such an iconic move in haunted attractions to the training and endurance it takes to perform night after night, and how scare actors build entire characters just to bring guests face to face with fear. We also get into the psychology of why we love being scared, the camaraderie inside the scare acting community, and why documenting this world matters before it disappears season to season.

If you’ve ever wondered what goes on behind the fog machines and behind the masks, this episode is for you.
