Labour Day weekend + Canadian indie music = today’s episode of The Basement on 91.3 FM CJTR, AccessNow Radio.
We celebrated the long weekend the only way I know how: with songs about work, unions, getting paid, overtime, workplace nonsense… and the occasional dream of never working again.
Hope you had a good one. Now back to work. 😉

A sunny studio moment working on demos! I’m writing for a few different projects right now, but I think this piece feels right for a @speakerfacemusic vibe. I’m shite at making beats but I think @ericwrightsound can bring this to life

Last festival of 2022! 🔥🔥🔥

Thanks for having us @woodstovefestival - the staff, volunteers and sound techs made the whole weekend so smooth and we couldn’t be more grateful to be part of such a beautifully curated event. Looking forward to what 2023 has in store!

New records for the collection! Big shout out to @lemonsareberries for giving me a crash course on making my post fancier. She’s a beautiful soul and my go to person on anything artsy. Go check out her stuff on her art page! @artistic0lemons #vinyl #records #recordcollection #art #music #musicisart

Sometimes you work really hard on a video and the credits are your favourite part. Pretty happy to be releasing this @speakerfacemusic video though!

🧐 A wise old man once said, "Listen to CiTR101.9FM's weekly charts and you'll live a long and fruitful life." 🍊 The wise old man is ME, and I listen to CiTR101.9FM EVERY DAY and look at me, living a long and fruitful life ! Definitely not a stressed 22 year old woman writing this, no no! Tune into CiTR101.9FM or go to citr.ca to listen ~

▪️ Forget-Me-Nots Feature Artist @trentfreeman

▪️ #TrentFreeman is a Juno Award winning, genre bending violin player who bridges the traditional world and modern innovation. With a love for performance that blossomed in the community dance halls of rural Canada, Trent has carried his passion to European Philharmonic theatres, wilderness summer festivals and urban underground dance clubs.

▪️ Our team has been quietly working behind the scenes, doing the deep work of reflection while continuing to support equity and systems change in the BC arts landscape. While the Tiny Lights ‘festival’ component of the non-profit organization has been on hiatus due to COVID-19 restrictions, this turn of events has led The Tiny Lights Team to a new intimate way to be connected, close, and creative in 2021.

▪️ Follow the link in our bio to join our family this weekend!
