What a fantastic time at @the_collecteve trade wine tasting! 🍷
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at the event at The Studio in @wildbytart, Eccleston Yards, on Monday.
We were delighted to welcome sommeliers, wine directors, food & beverage managers, merchants and other passionate wine professionals from across the industry to this lively event.
The tasting brought together five specialist, female-founded importers - @okanaganrootswine, @special_cases_ltd, @the_winebarn, @vindevie.uk and @vinoslatinos - showcasing an incredible selection of over 100 wines from Canada, France, Germany, Italy and South America.
It was a wonderful opportunity to taste exceptional wine and share conversations with fellow wine professionals. Across the tasting, there was a real shared enthusiasm for artisan producers, sustainability viticulture and wines that truly express their terroir.
Thanks to all our guests for making it such an enjoyable and inspiring event.
We’re already looking forward to seeing you at the next one! 🥂

CollectEve 2025!

I do lots of tastings, but some feel a bit different.

CollectEve is one of them. To share a room with 8 inspirational female wine importers is a wonderful feeling. I love to be part of it and this year it is bigger and better!

We are here today at 67 Pall Mall with wines from all over the world. If you are in the trade pop over.....we are all here until 4pm!

one of the things I miss the most about London is the amount of tastings happening somewhere in the city every single day! when I went back two weeks ago I managed to squeeze in a few of them. my favourite tasting by far was @the_collecteve one, about which I learned through the fabulous newsletter of @queenadwong which keeps me connected to all things London 🫶

@the_collecteve, an association of female-founded wine importers, held their inaugural tasting at @67pall_mall and it was a blast!

swipe right for some favourites ➡️

~ @eric_rodez and their beautiful Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru from Ambonnay which grants the wines a beautiful minerality that makes this powerful and “meaty” wine very refined

~ @o_k_roots was there too with her fabulous Canadian wines! my knowledge of these is quite limited so it was fascinating to discover all the different subregions and varieties. my favourite was the Pinot Blanc from Similkameen Valley - it’s not my favourite variety but this wine was incredibly textural with a striking salinity! the Stag’s Hollow Albariño was super interesting to try - it was very crunchy with some lovely green fruit, something that you don’t find that often in Spanish albariños.

~ it was also great to see some awesome innovation such as Wine On Tap and taste their cheerful wines from across Europe 🌍 the Verdejo took me right back to when I used to live in Madrid and this was the only variety on offer for white wines!

Earlier this week I headed into London to visit the inaugural @the_collecteve trade tasting. A powerhouse collaboration of female-founded UK importers repping exciting and high quality wines from across the globe.

This was one of the most impressively curated events I’ve attended in a while, and with no one skipping a beat. The tables were groaning with consistently excellent and often exclusive wines that would have any somm (or shop owner) walking away with something new and exciting for their list.

My highlights were offerings from @vinclairs @ealingwinecellars @o_k_roots @special_cases_ltd and @vinoslatinos and I can’t wait to see what’s next for @the_collecteve 🥂
