Being back at Gravelton is always one of the highlights of my year. This isn’t just another race to be honest, but to be with the wider @specialized_sg Asia Family.

Happy also to catch up with all the peeps that have been checking in on me, cheering me on and supporting. The team in the background that’s keeping the bike rolling. The people you don’t see who make all of this a reality. Even thought I don’t see them often, I feel their presence every time, on my rides, races and adventures 🧡

That’s what support looks like and I don’t take it lightly.

Acid Times

I’d been wanting to work with Jasper @vilecorpses (my creative inspo starting up) since we met at an event a few months back, but my guy was locked in on his Bentang Jawa redemption, and I’m glad he finished it this time. (YouTube!!!)

Luckily, our schedules aligned to shoot this campaign.

Cycling around Chinatown and Singapore CBD in my skate helmet and HELLORIDE, with the haze hanging over. Fun times.

Gravel World Championships 2026 @nannupgravel2026 🌈

Started the race feeling good, moving comfortably with the bunch through the first gravel sector. Then came the first climb, and just like that, I was spat out the back 😅.

The legs felt good, but I knew trying to hold on wasn’t sustainable with another 120km still to go. Pace was kinda insane.

From there, it became a race of my own. Jumping onto smaller groups whenever I could, finding a draft, and just trying to settle into some sort of rhythm.

But this course has absolutely no chill. A constant onslaught of short, steep punches mixed with longer climbs. It’s a brutally honest course that shows when you’re cooked.

There was a constant struggle almost throughout. Shivering on the descents, legs tightening up, and every climb feeling harder and harder. It was frustrating.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed. I wanted to do better, especially remembering how I felt at Seven last year on a similar course. Interestingly, the power was almost identical, just over a longer and harder day. But the feeling couldn’t have been more different.

There were moments that I just wanted it to be over. But giving up wasn’t an option. Not with all the time, effort and support that had gone into getting me here. Especially @wearewottoncool , who’s been there through all of it and being the perfect soigneur.

I crossed the line knowing I’d given everything I had on the day. It wasn’t the race time I’d hoped for, but sometimes that’s just how racing goes.

Can’t change the result now. I can only learn from it, get better, and keep showing up.

Grateful to @rapha_singapore @specialized_sg @t3teamturtle @oakleysea & @garminsg for making this journey possible.
