Join us to celebrate OPIRG Guelph's 50th birthday by cleaning up the Speed River!

We are partnering up with @speedriverpaddling to host a kayak/canoe river clean-up. This event will take place on Thursday, September 3rd starting at 10AM. We will be meeting at the boat launch near the Boathouse Tea Room.

10AM-10:30AM: Introduction and instructional session
10:30AM-1:30PM: River clean-up
1:30PM-2PM: Ice cream, raffle and informational chat about the Speed River Project

There is only 20 spaces available for the free kayak and canoe rentals so registration is required. Please register as soon as possible as it is first come, first serve. Link in bio.

Please bring your own boat if you have one.

Pleas bring water, hats, sunglasses, water shoes and dress appropriately for the weather!

A little fun paddling in the Speed River in Guelph today with my boy Noah!

So great to support their fundraiser, Canoe For A Cure. I didn't see a blue heron on the river today however I was thrilled to find a hat with a heron on in support of a great cause.

We did see some really cool turtles, ducks, geese, dragonflies & fish jumping.

This great little canoe, kayak rental place has been in Guelph for many years, located at the bridge just behind the Boathouse teahouse.
