A little peek into the process getting ready for this shoot. It definitely took all my spare time for at least a month prepping all the tattoos ready for print in Procreate. I printed doubles of the most important pages and had close to 20 pages.

I tried printing them at Fitzroy officeworks and broke their machine. I’m now banned from printing there.

Then there’s the glueing, laying acetate, cutting them up and I stuck them all to whiteboards to make selects easier

The prosthetic was a latex one I found many years ago in the US. I ordered the whiskers from Germany (they were the most realistic I could find) and really struggled punching them in, did a pre pax and paint and preset some tattoos

Then there’s all the prep the rest of the team did to pull it together in a Brunswick home studio

I sat on this design for years until I met the talented creatives involved in this series. The industry was quiet, we all needed a creative outlet and the stars aligned. Thankyou to all involved- I know I’ve forgotten some assistants. Everyone absolutely nailed it.

Huge thanks to Katya for sitting for so many hours while we covered her in tattoos and Yoann, Erika & Shell who worked tirelessly with me

Side note; I’m so happy those whiskers I flew over from Germany and painstakingly punched into the latex prosthetic that didn’t want to be punched are having their moment
