Chili Finger world premiere!! So happy with how this film turned out and couldn’t have asked for a better first SXSW experience! Thank you @spellnospell for taking a chance on me and for all the advice and wisdom along the way. I truly feel lucky to know you and call you a friend and mentor. Thank you to my team. @cuco4cocopuffs for sourcing items with the added difficulty of being in a small town. My AMAZING on set dresser @molly.benda for having an eye on all the details and holding it down on set. What’s the best food city in the U.S.? My vote goes to New Orleans, where I’ve had many amazing meals with great friends (@spellnospell will have to remind me where this one was). Two of the city’s finest eateries are helmed by the amazing @NinaCompton, who is my guest on the brand-new episode of Travel That Matters’ Master Chef series. Nina’s path has gone from her native St. Lucia (where her dad was the first prime minister) through countless kitchens and eventually to Top Chef, where she was arguably the most popular contestant of all time. After her stint on Top Chef, she came to New Orleans to open @comperelapin and, later, @bywateramericanbistro. It was super fun speaking with her about her past, her travels, and, of course, New Orleans, where I can’t wait to get back to try her curried goat and Copper Bunny.
