🚨TONIGHT at 4:30! Baltimore is flexing the brilliance of our Black sapphic creatives at Quid Nunc Art Gallery. This is a snippet of how the people, history, and land redefined my relationship to creativity. One pivotal moment was the "Layers" exhibit, curated by @terimhenderson. I went back for 3 events and soaked up how collaging is devalued in the art world because its easy for the masses to get the materials. A friend at the event asked me "Why didn't you tell me you collage?" It didn't feel noteworthy at the time, and now, I'm excited to participate in this weekend’s events for Black Renaissance II: Sapphic Edition. People here push each other toward alignment and truth. My beloveds encouraged me to play, glue it down, and share. And creators that inspire me like @isaiahrw were kind enough to share encouragement to keep experimenting. I’m so grateful to be a part of this show with these amazing exhibiting artists: Michele Blu @michelebluyoga Kellie Bolden @kvng._kells Kimberly Boston kimmyparfait Bunny @bunny_blu333 Gen Fraser @nichellemibelle Zoey Howell-Brown @sadiehb.png Keyarra Johnson @128art My-Azia Johnson @funsizedchaos Ashten Logan @ashtenpaints Dinah Myers Schroeder @anotherdinahmytecreation Rich Rocket @vintagethrivals Executive producers: Gen Fraser Raymond J.
