FAIRHAVEN RESIDENCE

A great project to have been involved in along the Great Ocean Road.

Rodgers Sheetmetal supplied the roofing and cladding for this Fairhaven home, finished in UniCote® LUX Corten Red. The same finish carried across the roof and external walls gives the home a clean, continuous look that works perfectly with the timber, stone and coastal landscape.

Great to see the finished result and the work of everyone involved.

Set between forest and sea, Otway Beach House by Kerstin Thompson Architects @kerstin_thompson_architects was completed in Wye River, Australia, in 2024 on a site classified as a bushfire ‘flame zone’. 🌊 Concrete and fire-rated windows form a resilient envelope, turning strict fire requirements into a defining part of the architecture. The northern end is embedded into the sloping terrain, where bedrooms look upwards towards the forest and an adjacent hillside garden. 🌿 To the south, the living area opens onto a terrace and frames the distant ocean horizon across the full width of the house. The concrete plinth continues upwards to form a roof terrace, creating another lookout between land, water and sky. Initially considered unbuildable during approvals, the house balances its robust concrete structure with blackbutt linings and joinery that bring a warmer, domestic character to the interior. 🪵

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
❤️💜
We are all feeling incredibly overwhelmed by the unbelievable love, support, and belief shown for the inspiring and talented Find Your Light Choir.
With tears of joy, our Rockstars continue to show us their growth, confidence, and gifts, and they never stop blowing us away.
Sunday’s performance was a powerful example of humanity, community, and the power of music to unite us all. It showed what is possible when people come together with a shared vision.
This year, for the very first time, we performed our original piece, The Power of Music -A Story Within a Song.
Thank you to everyone who helped bring this song to life and trusted us with the vision. We are so proud and incredibly grateful for the storytelling, creativity, talent, love, and respect that have been poured into this project from the very beginning.
What a team. What a gift. ✨
It is a privilege to witness the magic these incredible Rockstars bring into the world and to be part of their journey. The confidence, courage, friendships, and joy that continue to shine through music are something we will never take for granted.
To our kind and generous sponsors
Thank you for recognising and believing in this talented and inspiring group. We are so Grateful to you all.
Our sponsors, creative team, volunteers, support workers, carers, family, friends, and audience members this magical journey would not be possible without you.
We are so Grateful to you all.
We believe that when people are given the opportunity to find their light and share their voice, we create a kinder and more inclusive world together.
So bring on the next adventure. We promise it is going to be unforgettable.
Stay tuned to our socials… tickets will be limited and will sell out quickly

As an artistic architectural response to Australia’s coastline and the contours of the rural landscape, Peninsula House forms a dramatic sculptural relic, weathered by its context.

A pretty unique project we’ve had the opportunity to be involved in here on the Surf Coast.

This is part of the massive subsea cable system that will connect Australia directly to Europe, with the cable making landfall right here in Torquay before linking into the national network.

The vessel offshore is responsible for carefully bringing the cable ashore, where it is then connected through purpose-built infrastructure and data processing facilities.

Loop Electrical has been proud to play a role in the local works, completing the underground conduit infrastructure and electrical services associated with the two data processing buildings that support this project.

It’s not every day you get to work on infrastructure that forms part of a communications link spanning thousands of kilometres between continents.

A great project to be involved in and one that will leave a lasting impact on Australia’s international connectivity.
