Game 162 & it still doesn't feel like real life!
Thank You, Jesus, for this rookie year and for the wonderful people that are apart of this organization. Here’s to many more healthy years ahead and, most importantly, the opportunity to spread His name and glorify Him through it all.
Forever grateful 💙

The Blue Jays used a Rule 5 pick on a 25-year-old the Giants left unprotected. His resume?

* A walk-on at Missouri.
* A 4th-round pick in 2022.
* Fourteen and two-thirds minor-league innings total.
* A back surgery that wiped out 2023.
* A Tommy John that ended his 2024 and wiped out his 2025 regular season.

He got to the bigs and the underlying numbers say it’s been deserved:
📊 2.57 ERA with a 2.65 FIP and 2.95 xERA
📊 163 ERA+ (63% better than league average) and 2.4 WAR as a rookie
📊 53.8% ground-ball rate — 90th percentile in MLB
📊 23.9% strikeout rate vs just a 6.3% walk rate
📊 0.48 HR/9
📊 Sinker-heavy arsenal (45% usage) that touches 99.4 mph

2-1 with a 2.08 ERA since the All-Star break — 6-2, 2.57 ERA on the season.

This is Spencer Miles.

The Blue Jays hold onto a win, keeping the Texas Rangers from sweeping them as we enter the final few games of the regular season.

Spencer Miles had a dominant start and the rest of the bullpen managed to keep runs minimal, only a two-run homer given up by Arighetti.

The chances of a playoff wildcard spot are slim, but I hope the jays put 100% into their last couple of series and make it meaningful. On to face the Orioles next.
