God has been working miracles in my life and around the world these past few years. The DR was an amazing experience. So thankful.

Incredible week of saying yes, serving the local church in the Dominican Republic, and watching students truly serve sacrificially, being joyful in extremely uncomfortable situations, and seeing the bigger picture. So humbled to have served along side this crew!

Cody & I had the privilege to lead this trip through @newidentitycollegeministry & what an honor it was to be entrusted with that. Before we were engaged, Cody was in Zambia on a mission trip. I was at home in a church service when the Lord spoke so clearly to me. He said, "whatever Cody tells you, say yes." (I was so nervous lol) the second I got out of church, my phone rang, it was Cody calling. He said "Alyssa, I have something crazy to tell you. We are leading a mission trip to the Dominican next summer. Are you in?" I immediately knew God was ordaining this trip for us to be a part of.

We got to play a small role in the building of a church, host a VBS & share the Gospel with some precious children, & provide & deliver meals for families in need. Thank you Jesus for letting us be a part of what you are doing in other nations. Thank you for this group of servant hearted believers who truly picked up their crosses to follow you. Praying that we would all carry that same posture of servant heartedness being home exactly like we did in the DR.

this mission trip was everything i could’ve asked for and more. sometimes it takes stepping outside of comfort and into faith to realize how much you can make a difference. and looking back on this week, it’s so clear to see how much God worked through all of it. leaving happy knowing we planted seeds in the best soil, and feeling extra #blessed

What a BLESSING @generateym360 was to us this week! The theme this year was “No Other Name” and we talked about how His Name is the Name Above All Names! We also were able to serve our own community with @keepsoddydaisybeautiful ! We picked weeds and laid mulch down at the new garden in Soddy! Another highlight of ours was that we, in the most humble way possible, dominated our competition in dodgeball! Thank you to everyone who prayed for this group! Next time you see them, ask what their new nickname is 😉
