An all gas no brakes two weeks of everything I love!! The people! The mountain! The galleries! The dinners! The gym! The temple! My heart is full.

These people changed my life this year. They brought me SO much joy 🤗 We’ve laughed together, gone on many adventures together, spilled MUCH tea 🫖😏 and been there for each other through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. My favorite thing about this friend group is that we are all unapologetically ourselves and…truly…the weirder you are the better…👀🤷‍♀️😂

I LOVE my friends and I can’t wait to see what new adventures this next year brings 🤙

today was my last day working at the temple

for the last 2.5 years I’ve had the opportunity to serve in the temple every week! it’s been the most incredible experience

not only have I come to more fully understand my covenants and develop a deeper relationship with the savior,

but it’s also become a place of refuge and solace for me in the midst of many seasons of change—new living situations, new jobs, new relationships, new callings, new opportunities

one of the best things that has come from my service in the temple has been the relationships that I’ve been able to build with the women I call my temple aunties—the ladies that I’ve served with on my shift.

they are wise, faith-filled women who have shown me what it means to be a disciple of Christ. their examples and friendship have impacted me deeply

I’m so grateful for the temple & for the influence serving has had on my life. It has become one of my favorite places. God is so good, and being in His holy house every week has changed my life and my perspective infinitely for the better.

There really aren’t quite words to describe last week in Mexico with @childshopefoundation . I was pretty apprehensive about going but I am SO glad I did. There were so many sacred experiences and laughs and personal realizations and beautiful new friendships. What a treat it was to deepen my relationships with my existing friends and to make new ones! I am struck by the incredible people in this world. Kind, generous, hardworking, FUN people. I feel so blessed to have made so many new friends on this trip.

It’s easy to feel that we are insignificant and that who we are isn’t enough & our efforts don’t make a difference. But this week showed me that when we show up as who we are, the Lord is able to use our strengths and interests to connect with others and be His hands. I’ll never forget this experience ♥️

March 2024 Mexico

This was filled with small things all week which filled my soul. Impromptu musical productions, backflips, deep personal conversations, finding a birthday buddy, seeing everyone work together for a common goal, laughing together, nightly highs and lows, snail weddings and home decor, plumbing mishaps and amazing happy attitudes, matching Mexican dresses, the funniest shopping experience of my life, muscles, new best friends and sharing good food.

I was with a family who had a friend of a friend in Rosarito, Gwen, who invited us to her beautiful seaside cottage. Her home and views were stunning. She made hummus and cookies to share with complete strangers. She shared her space, her wonderful toilets that flush toilet paper, her resources, and her love. My life is better having met Gwen.

I haven’t been to this home since last March. There was one particular niña I had connected with a year ago. She’s older and quieter and I didn’t see her the first few days. The third day, when I saw her, my eyes lit up with recognition. Hers did not. My heart hurt for her (and for me a little but mostly for her). I tried to connect again and this time she invited me to join a game with her and another niña. The next day she sought me out to play games with her. Just the two of us, even with a language barrier. I don’t know her back story. I know she is in the home with her older sister who’s about to age out - and then what? Not sure if they will be separated? I want to take her (and her sister) home with me. I want to wrap her in my arms, like one of my own daughters, and tell her everyday how loved she is. How much she has to offer the world. And most especially I want to tell her that she has a loving Father in Heaven who knows her personally.

These trips are life changing by the little moments. By the people who melt your heart. The people who give their time and resources. I meet the best of the best on these trips. The volunteers, the caregivers, the niños and sometimes people like Gwen!

In Matthew 25:14-30 you can read the parable of the talents. God gives us many talents both physically and spiritually. I know God gives us talents so we can grow and learn and feel joy and so much more.

I know that when we use our talents we will be blessed with more.
