Solid round of 73 at Cooden Beach on Thursday to finish 4th, just a costly 7 on the 18th but the rest was good, look forward to my next tournament at Piltdown on Wednesday.

Our very own Freddie Vine escaped the Club Shop for the day this week to accept a well-deserved invitation to tee it up alongside the pros in the Riseborough Memorial Trophy, organised by the Sussex Professional Golf Union.

Understandably a little nervous before the off, Freddie settled those nerves in style with a birdie at the first, followed by further birdies at the 4th and 5th. Those birdies helped cancel out a few early bogeys, leaving him at one over after seven holes.

From the 8th onwards, Freddie was faultless. A superb back-nine 33 saw him come home without dropping a shot and post an excellent 69 gross - one under par - to finish inside the top ten!

A fantastic performance and a brilliant effort representing Littlehampton Golf Club.

Freddie is pictured here (centre) alongside his playing partners Chris Jess and James Doswell.

Congratulations to Horam Park Professional Giles Velvick, whose bogey-free 64 finished two shots clear of Paul Nessling, with four players sharing third place on 67. 🏆

Very well played, Freddie! 👏

Fun day at @nevillgolfclub on Wednesday. Played nicely but putting still not quite there and a couple of bad swings cost me. Looking forward to the Ifield Pro Am on Monday.

Very special day yesterday at Seaford Head teaming up with my better half @elliott_charlotte_ in a doubles event. We shot -8 better ball just coming up short by 2 shots but finished a very respectable t3rd out of 24 teams. Hopefully we’ll be back again next year to win it. Nevill alliance event up next on Wednesday. Thanks @benchmarkgrouplimited for the continued support throughout this season, it’s hugely appreciated.

Huge thanks to Avi for the amazing hospitality and I look forward to the Seaford Head pairs event on Friday with Char.

Very enjoyable day at @bognor_regis_golf_club on Friday. I started poorly but battled well to shoot a 71. Was a big field so the scoring was good but I don’t feel like my game is miles away. Next up the Madeira Windows Pro Am on Friday.

🚨 I Keep Hearing That PGA Pros Are Rubbish ⛳️

Watch my Quarter Final match vs Paul Nessling and decided for yourself, I shot -10 through 16 holes to win 3&2… -14 Betterball 😂

Fun day today at @royalashdown, I played nicely for a respectable 32 points and 4th place but sadly had 41 putts so need to get to the bottom of that but I feel like my game isn’t far away. Looking forward to Bognor Pro Am next week to have another go.
