10 DAYS LEFT UNTIL OUR THREE YEAR ANNIVERSARY CAMPAIGN CLOSES!

It’s October, which means the Autistic Theatremakers Alliance is officially celebrating three years of advocating for Autistic creatives in the theater industry! One way in which we uplift Autistic theatremakers is through our annual grants cycle and we need your help to keep it going. This year, we gave grants to three Autistic creatives to support their goals for 2026. The clip above is from a performance of “Itchy on the Inside” from grantee Spicer Carr’s new musical Too Bright to See. This performance was a part of our concert, Kaleidoscope: Celebrating Autistic Musical Theatre Makers.

We want to continue supporting incredible artists like Spicer taking the next step in their artistic journey. Will you help us? Visit the link in our bio to help us celebrate our birthday with a gift that will not just impact us, but the artists we aim to empower.

The new musicals spotlighted in our concert earlier this year are amazing… and unhinged.

These clips are from:
@tbts.musicaland @texasanniemusical (musicals created by our grantees @spicercarr and @jennhowd.)

As well as @adderallnation and @reignofsmokeandlust.

Are you an Autistic theatremaker working on a new musical? Tell us about it below! (& keep an eye out for when our grant application opens.) 👀

Want to see more content about these new musicals by Autistic Theatremakers? Follow us and check out our YouTube channel for full songs from Kaleidoscope: Celebrating Autistic Musical Theatre Makers.

June was just around the corner… and it was a great month for #OPrak .

• We workshopped La Sonnambula, an opera about a Swiss village girl named Amina whose tendency to sleepwalk into a nobleman’s bedroom causes a dramatic misunderstanding with her fiancé, which is only resolved when the villagers witness her innocence firsthand as she walks across a dangerous mill roof. However, for our adaptation, we have incorporated American Sign Language; it is a production with an ASL conductor and interpreters; it is something you’d want to see November of 2026.
