Yesterday was bittersweet but thanks to everyone who took the time to come out and say goodbye and for those who didn’t make it, thanks for having been a part of the journey. I will be updating you all on the next part of my journey but for now I have a long three weeks away from Atlanta with the Army Reserve but stay tuned for updates on free food and community outreach opportunities. There will still be giveaways on Flat Shoals but I’m not sure of all the details on that yet. Thanks again for the support and love everyone has shown, I will never forget the time we’ve shared together. A special shout out to @atlscoop who helped make everything possible by connecting so many different people from all walks of life. It helped put us on the map and it’s forever appreciated. It’s not goodbye but see you soon. 💯

One of the things I love about living is the thrill of the unknown.

Among of the great unknowns remains who will be a part of your life...or not. Sometimes we think we know who are the "reasons , the seasons, or lifetimes" and then "boom!", that person you thought was "forever" is no longer a part of your reality. Of course there are a few you know in your heart will always be there... I tend to agree with "let those who come , come, and let those who go go.." And in the midst of the coming and going, there are the unexpected surprises and chance encounters -like this one.

The last time I saw this "spicy" Grenadian soul was maybe 25 years ago when I was but a babe😄 and a member of the Rotaract Club. Travel was already in my bones from birth so of course I signed up for the regional conference in Martinique. Bonus - I got to practice my French. 😁 Met Alison Hinds and a great time was had by all.

Genuine connections will survive surface shit every time. Truth be told there are maybe just a handful of people I remember from that event who I still hail occasionally. (Sidenote - i dont do "surface")..and that's the way these things generally go. 2023 and here we are doing mundane stuff like grocery shopping and having the best time.

Both Forest Gump and Steve Jobs had it right. "Stay open" "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get". 😃
