You know I’m #allaboutfall. It’s my favorite time of the year so I’ve already started decorating. However, when it’s a GORGEOUS day in L.A. - and it’s your best friend’s birthday - it’s ok to pull out the colorful Summer linens to celebrate with a Mexican-themed pool lunch. We’ve traveled together to Mexico and I’ve been collecting special linens on each of our adventures. It’s only right that I bring them out when you’re here! Also, for yesterday’s table I was able to use beautiful Summer linens I found @cblifestyle (my favorite Brentwood home decor store for my tablescapes). Many thanks also to the talented @spicyrosa for her amazing culinary skills in my kitchen. She was up dicing and chopping all morning making her homemade salsas, guacamole, and condiments for her fabulous fish tacos. We love you Rosa! You came into our lives and instantly became #family. Happy birthday @jonknopke - here’s to many more years of celebrating YOU and your contagious energy & spirit! We love you! Mexican hand embroidered Otomi linens: I sourced all of mine in Mexico. However, there are amazing vendors who sell pieces on Etsy.com as well. Napkins, napkin rings, water goblets, and wooden boat shaped fruit bowl are all from @cblifestyle. Btw: if you don’t have these spinning fans to keep bugs away, they’re a MUST! I found them on Amazon. The motion deters flies, but they’re also reflective which is blinding when the light hits them. They sit just above your dishes perfectly. We had all the doors open and I definitely noticed flies sneak in. However, they stayed away from the open food with these fans on. 🥂 #alfresco #alfrescodining #alfrescolunch #poolsidedining #summerlunch #summerpoolparty #mexicanlunch #mexicantable #mexicantablesetting #mexicanfood #mexicantablerunner #mexicanotomi #mexicanotomiembroidery #mexicanotomitablerunner #lifestyle #cblifestyles #chictable #chictablescapescape #makinglifechic
