“The walls shoot away from your location
Leaving it all raw, alone, exposed
Confusion ignites in the hush
And you lash right at me
Diminish everything to shit […]
Though I’ve shouldered all your pain
You’re not the only one, we’re the same
I have my moments too
Would you believe it’s true?
I live in you, you live in me”

Concert 318 and the third of the three show marathon was the pioneers of metalcore as we know it now and a band thats been steadily becoming my favorite after seeing them live, Poison the Well at @knockdowncenter , along with fellow trailblazers and one of the best bands in metalcore and in general, @converge , along with some of the best bands in hardcore rn @spy.worldwide .Every band’s energy was unreal and it was just an allstar lineup of four powerhouse bands that I just could not miss out on and Im glad I didnt. This showcased the best of metalcore and hardcore from the past to the present, and it was great seeing alot of friends today there, despite there being a ton of great heavy shows today. Shoutouts to all the uncs who went to the show and shoutouts to my uncs who I hung out with after the show. Its always a great time and it was great just seeing all these legendary bands again, and seeing Converge from the first time, and Poison the Well ofc especially with how amazing their last show was. Nothing but love throughout the whole show and its safe to say that all these shows this week were amazing and they all ended on a high note. Thanks again to everyone who made this possible and fun as always. Always appreciate yall and if you excuse me, Im gonna go and be catatonic for a bit see yall soon 💀🪦 Also, to anyone who came here from the reels, yes I do actually listen to Poison the Well and metalcore outside of Tx2. I know more ball than you think 😭🥀

“And when I scream I want to hear it ring forever
I’ll give you something to remember
From the greatest days of my fucking life that we live right now. No words but I’ll try somehow […]
‘Cause it’s nights like these that I’ve been living for
I never thought I’d make it this far
‘Cause it’s nights like these that I’ve been searching for, and I’m finally home”

Concert 312 is seriously a contender for one of the best shows Ive ever been to and thats a high bar, considering that it was Drain themselves who set that bar. The lineup was extremely stacked, with some of my alltime favorite bands, not just in hardcore but in general. Got to see Drain headline with @nopressurepunxarchive , @haywire617 , and @secretworldworld , all at @irvingplaza , and before people cry about the barricade, the show was still wild af and it felt like it wasnt there for most of it tbh. All bands that play their own version of hardcore with tons of crossover appeal. It was great talking to people who’ve never been into hardcore but love Drain because they were thrashy, or Crust / Oi! punks watching Haywire, or Pop Punk fans being there for No Pressure. There was also some love for the Drug Church style of heady hardcore with Secret World. There was just everything to love about this show and it was nonstop energy, with sets that made every second count. Lots of breakdowns, circle pits, and singalongs. Literally could not have been a better show. Every band in this lineup is a forefront in the new age of hardcore movement and I’m glad to be a part, or a witness in some way. I also saw lots of friends being part of that contagious wave of fun this show eminated with every band. Just, wow. This is a show only bands like Drain, No Pressure, and Haywire can make and its the standard I set for shows being great to God tier. This was one of my most hype shows since last year for a damn good reason and this delivered that & then some. Just, goddamn, bravo 👏🏼 and thank you to all the bands, fans, staff, crew, & the scene for nights like these. Next post will be about the fun I had after the show!🦈
