Playing in cover bands isn't covered enough...lmk your thoughts...
Here at Northstar, between us we've covered close to 800 songs over the years. We play 4hrs of consecutive customized setlists. We dress up & show up on time. We have fun. We perform with energy & passion. We make mistakes but carry on like we meant it...We hangout and checkout the local scene wherever we go and cheer up the band. We take pictures for each other's contents & memories... Then get back to our individual lives until the next call. We're just bunch of musicians who appreciate what we do.

Bio:
@camovement + @neak_undefined are Chicago-based artists who craft immersive, genre-crossing experiences rooted in Black culture and sound. Their collaborative album @afilmcalledblack blends hip-hop, jazz, gospel, and spoken word into a rich, cinematic tapestry of memory, struggle, and spirit.

Cam Be—filmmaker, producer, and DJ—brings a visual and sonic language shaped by history and movement. Neak—lyricist, producer, and son of soul legacy—grounds his work in reflection and resistance. Together, they create music that is deeply intentional, both poetic and political. A Film Called Black is their shared offering: a soundtrack of presence, purpose, and possibility.
