MAYBE it is a day late BUT yesterday was my birthday! ♥️ so of course I had to post my fave pic from this angelic Sylvain shoot :3 also because the photos are so warm, glowy, shiny and moody which I felt was perfect for my b day 😎 this weekend was an absolute blast! A bunch of friends came from out of town and stayed over at our apartment, so that we could all go to medieval times together! ⚔️⚔️⚔️

Genuinely it's such an amazing experience that I hope to do again, but I woke up early the next morning and rallied to get into cosplay so that we could do a shoot at the Met! 😧 which was also INSANE !! Hopefully you'll see photos of that by the end of the week… For Halloween of course ;3 they're WICKEDDD

But! Thank you so so much to all of the friends and loved ones who made my birthday special this year ! With so many people close to my heart around for my birthday, the well wishes, kind words, and very thoughtful gifts, I was blown away by how wonderful this birthday was! 🥺😭♥️ I tend to use my birthday every year as an excuse to get together with ppl and do something crazy fun! But feeling loved and appreciated at the same time always catches me off guard and makes me feel particularly special and grateful for the wonderful people I have in my life 🥺

Reflecting on my birthdays over the years, I've learned a few important lessons that, at risk of sounding like a TikTok influencer, will share here! But just a few. Such as: 1) listen to your friends, they're probably right 2) sometimes other people don't need to know the truth, just you 3) never think too hard about yourself after 9 PM 4) question why you're doing things! Don't just do things to do them. Do things that make you happy for the purpose of making you happy!

Throwback to last Saturday's masquerade at ANYC. Congratulations once again to all the winners 🥹 All who entered for this masquerade were so talented I enjoyed seeing all the cosplays and performances. It ain't easy doing this 😭 dedicating your whole Saturday at a big con for this masquerade was exhausting and rewarding. From a spectator in 2017 to now be on stage this year 🥹 I'm really proud of myself and Java for stepping out of our comfort zone.

I do hope there's a full video of the skits I was too overstimulated that night to fully get to see and enjoy 🤧

Tbh I had an almost UNFAIR amount of fun at #animenyc this year… from the luck we had of getting a room size upgrade to my friends winning Best in Show @ the masquerade to the sickening amount of money I spent in the artist alley… it was a movie ✋😔 I also got to cosplay Draculaura again but this time w @allisun.cos who got to cosplay her childhood fave Frankie Stein!! We’re already planning more things to do as them. CATCH YALL AT CCE LOL

Sunday of #animenyc recap!!! we were all definitely riding the high of winning best in show the previous night at the masquerade (the performance video is up by the way in case anyone wants to see!!) But we all got up early and rallied so we could check out of the hotel and get to the con in cosplay :3 sam and I hit up the Alien Stage meetup - there were so many good cosplayers!! It was really nice to see so much love for Sua omgggg my wife 😭😭 we did a quick photoshoot and took some funny videos, but afterwards I made sure to do some good loops around the artists alley so I can make any last-minute purchases I wanted :3 I feel like the day and the entire weekend went by so fast and I'm still reeling from it 😭 thank you so much to everyone who said hi and went out of their way to congratulate us on our win the day afterwards 🥺♥️🙏🙏🙏 I'm so sorry to any friends and mutuals I missed while we were running around the convention center and pretty MIA on Saturday due to rehearsals!

Day 1 of #animenyc was hypeeeee - there were so many good #HSR cosplays the whole weekend and it was fun to do Robin and Boothill together on Friday!! :3 the two of them make such a good duo and contrast each other so well - and we made a handful of cheeky videos at the con that I can't wait to share more of! ♥️ the artists alley was lit as always and we tried to get some shopping in that day, before sam/alli/i were all inundated with masquerade rehearsals on Saturday! :0
