For the past month I’ve been so lucky to be able to spend my time @greenhutartistresidency! It’s been such an amazing and formative time I’m so grateful to @dananotine and @mere.mcalister for letting me be a part of this cohort session. I’ve grown so much as an artist and have been thanking my lucky stars since August 31st. I couldn’t recommend applying and attending this residency any more to ANYONE interested. I feel like I won the lottery. All my love to everyone who’s been apart of this journey I wouldn’t trade it for the world. Ty ty ty @greenhutartistresidency

Also I got a selfie stick while I was here and it’s brought me so much joy. Hence all the selfie stick selfies for a post. I’ll post the work I made in more detail soon. The last three images are three paintings I made here that were in our final group show titled ‘Immortal Objects’.

Doing this with @spilt____milk has also been such a dream come true. My creative soulmate - so glad we could do this together :p

The group exhibition from my fall cohort at @greenhutartistresidency opens tomorrow 💎

Immortal Objects explores memory and grief and imagined realities, or in the words of our curator @dananotine,

“The work presented in Immortal Objects is united by a mutual interest in using art to process and cope with mortality.

This exhibition, like many before it, is about the power of art. It’s a show about arts ability to not only help us cope with loss but to ask questions about the unknown and arts capacity to make the ephemeral, fleeting lives we have permanent.”

So grateful for my time up here in Massachusetts with my amazing fellow artists.

If someone asks you to live on an island for the summer, that’s a hard opportunity to turn down. Thanks to my sister @mesofly7 and @xavithebiker, I’ve been fortunate to live out in Puerto Rico for the last few months taking care of their dogs. I’ve met a bunch of very wonderful people and was lucky to see some familiar faces along the way! Still have some time left before I leave this amazing island and this incredible experience!♥️🧜‍♂️🏝️🇵🇷
