When the practice is booming, I tell myself the same thing I tell myself when it feels like it’s falling apart.

This too shall pass.

When I first started my practice, my mentor @spinechecker told me not to get too high on the highs or too low on the lows, and I’ve never forgotten it.

I’ve had to remind myself of it at both ends.

When we have momentum and everything is working, I remind myself it won’t last forever.

When it feels like the whole thing could crumble and I can’t sleep from the stress, I remind myself that won’t last either.

Staying even keel through both is how you make your best decisions.

And that steadiness spreads to the people around you.

If you’ve known me over the last 10 years, you’ve seen my pain go from meh, to bad, to excruciating, to now living my life again.

I wouldn’t be here without @spinechecker saving me and changing my life for the better.

I haven’t used my TENS unit in multiple years, gave the cane away and now I’m out here squatting 55 lbs and hoping to increase weight again soon as I work on my form.

I miss the strength I used to have and knew I had to get it back and more.

And I’m thankful for @halea_strong getting me back in a gym, training me and pushing me to my full potential.

I don’t think I’ll ever be 100% pain-free but I sure as hell can try and get as close as possible.
