Grid shy project?

This project seems to mainly show up in stories as it is my background buddy, the go-with-me-in-the-bag-project and my safety when all else fails.

Not a bad thing to have I can tell you!

Recently it came with me on a super sweet outing to Ytterjärna Kulturhus and lunch at @kultur_mat with Jovita 🫶

As we drove out I told Jovita that we had missed Maura @mauratavares.art exhibit by one day and that I was a little sad about that.
Lo and behold who is there in person as we arrive but Maura herself just starting to pack up the beautiful art - such a nice surprise!

The fibre is ”Linnea” by @honerocheir - project started on spinning bestie Guro’s birthday party, hopefully done by my birthday in January.

So far the statistics are:
15 x 25 grams = 375 grams spun
9 x 25 grams = 225 grams still to get done

Har lekt med fargespill på et nytt tynt skjerf av ull og silk mohair (50x180 cm)

Skjerfet er lett, loddent og mykt, men gir også god varme nå som vinteren er på vei. Det er vevd på 60/10 grindvev, med alv kamgarn som renning og silk mohair som innslagstråd.

Nytt ullsjal vevd på bestilling 🍁

120x120 cm, vevd på grindvev fra @ashford_wheels_looms (kjøpt hos @spinnvilt ) med Alv kamgarn fra Hillesvåg ullvarefabrikk som renning og innslag.
Sjalet ble med på en tur til Kåfjord for knyting av frynser under årets Spinnvill Rokkefestival 🧶

Hi 👋

My name is Christine and I like to spin.

I have the good fortune of knowing a few others who like to spin too - most live far away, a couple live close and some live in Sweden, but not so close.

In this last category we find @wandsandneedle -
She is probably the only person I know who has whole basement dedicated to wool prep with a discoball for more joy 🪩

Sometimes I need to be a little bit more like her.

So when she asked me to spin some of her hand dyed fibre I thought here is my chance:

Help a fellow spinner out, do a good thing - get a taste of being her 🙌

What’s not to like?

I can be a bit on the serious side, spin big proper projects that will be sweaters, refinement of process and technique - and don’t get me wrong I do love those things.
But there is always more of that.

Breaking it up with some handdyed joy spinning, with no choosing on my side.
All I did was say Yes!
Joy-maxxing 🙌

Would you have said yes to a mystery pack of handdyed fibre? Your contribution being feedback and of course spinning?
