A final farewell to @theyogaspacetopeka

I couldn't make it to the final weekend with other events on my calendar, but this deserves grid space.

This little community was full of such magic, trust, a sincere willingness to learn new things, and above all else, full of fun.

Joining the team pulled me out of a years-long rut in my personal practice.

Teaching at The Yoga Space allowed me to build creative movement sequences and grow wonderful friendships. ✨️

I wish we weren't saying goodbye, but what comes next is full of opportunity.

Thank you for the wonderful memories.

🎶 I wanna know what makes a mat worth keepin’… 🎶
Because yes—there are twelve.
And no—none of them are extra!

I’ve got one for teaching outside. One for teaching in the studio.
Mobility mat. Slow flow mat. Meditation mat.
The sentimental one. The “just in case” one.
The mat I floss on (don’t ask).
The backup. The backup’s backup.
The kids class mat. My personal go-to.
Every single one has a role. A purpose. A story.
And friend, they know it.

Drop yours in the comments.
Tell us without telling us you live this yoga life.

Crystal Sound Bath Restorative at @theyogaspacetopeka

Keep your eye on the schedule because you definitely want to experience this 🕯

The vibration from the bowls creates an immersive restorative experience to help you sink into a deep relaxation.

You know that state between dreaming and awake? Where you're aware of the world around you, but you're so relaxed it takes your body time to come-to?

That's where I spent the entire hour.

I love when yoga is paired to peoples passions and to do good in our community.

Tonight's Full Moon Yoga benefited The Friends of the Historic Topeka Cemetery.

We practiced on the Mausoleum Green, NOT amongst graves or on any burial locations.

Not only did we have an amazing grounded flow, but also received a fantastic historic tour. The Topeka Cemetery is the resting place of many important figures to local history, including:

Cyrus K. Holliday, founder of the Santa Fe railroad

Charles Curtis, 31st Vice President

Franklin Crane, Topeka founding father and founder of the Topeka Cemetery (Currently up to 7 generations have served on the Cemetery Board!!!!!)

Many civil war soldiers

People involved with the underground railroad

and so many more...

It is still an active cemetery and continues to grow. Currently 100 active sections!

All religions welcomed and customs honored.

Can't wait to visit again for more yoga, more history, and the haunted Halloween tours (where we get the darker historical stories)!

Friends of the Topeka Cemetery is a 501c3 group whose mission is to preserve and support the Topeka Cemetery.

Back in August, our friend Mark adopted a kitty from class. Y'all... watching them fall in love was so precious.

Kitty was renamed FRODO

Guess what happened today?!?!?!?!
[Swipe to photo 2]

Frodo now has his very own SAMWISE 😻
[Formerly known as PJ, who you probably saw highlighted on @hhhstopeka socials].

We are so excited about this new Furever match.

Congrats, Mark!

(We love our cat dads around here 😻 and I'm a sucker for a good LOTR reference)
