I had an amazing opportunity to paint a mural near Juanita Beach Park. I had a lot of fun designing and painting this piece and it was an honor to be able to brighten up the area. You can find it at the @spudfishandchips on the corner of 97th Ave NE and NE Juanita Dr. @kirklandcommunityfoundation @splashfwd #kirklandwa #kirklandwashington #kirklandcommunityfoundation #kirklandartist #washingtonartists #seattleartists #muralart #muralartist #spudfishandchips #splashforward

SPLASHForward’s Camp SPLASH! had a summer full of fun, learning, achievement, and - of course - swimming!! 🏊 Throughout the camp, students dove into water safety knowledge in the classroom and hands-on in the pool. Each day was packed with swimming lessons, water safety education on land, in-the-water drills, and plenty of water play. The campers even got their first taste of water sports like water polo and kayaking, opening their eyes to new adventures and possibilities. I don’t know who needs to hear this but there is healing in the water! I often get asked as a Coach about what drives me to teach swimming. The truth is that water heals my spirit, mind, and body. Being in, near, or around water is a super power that I use to regulate my emotions and stimulate my body to keep going. For my birthday, I took my son to the water so that he could soak up the joy that I feel from being in this space. Swimming is freedom and I want every person to be free. Come swim freely with me and @oshunswimschool at Rainier Beach Pool on Saturday 9/14/24 at 6:00pm! Link in bio! #Afroswimmers #OshunSwimSchool #BlackOpenSwimSeason #VirgosMakeEverythingBetter
