A great poet once said, “Change? S**t, I guess is good for any of us.” But this one took a minute to see the good in.

After 16 years as a staple of our shop and community, the Darkside mini ramp is coming down in late October. (Read to the bottom before you call us freaking out 🤣)

Originally built and owned by the Vosburgh family in 2005, the 8’ ramp was donated to the shop in 2010. We moved it, cut it down to 4’, and it’s been here ever since.

Over the years, it’s been rebuilt and repaired over and over. But the bones are finally beyond saving, and it’s time to move forward.

The mini has always been more than just a ramp. Generations of local rippers grew up on it. The @_spotheads_ made it home during the summer when they were still teenagers. People like @steezbarb moved to town and found lifelong friends there. @jess_shred dropped in for the first time ever during one of the summer skate camps on the ramp.

It’s hard to overstate what this thing has meant to our community.

But there’s always light at the end of the tunnel. You’ll just have to wait and see what we’ve been cooking up for next spring.

We’re giving the ramp the sendoff it deserves.
October 10. Before the DS4L premiere. One final jam.

@sweepersandsoda who has rebuilt this thing more times than anyone can count, has some absolutely insane stuff planned to make the last session one for the books.

In March of 2024, we loaded up the van and hit the road for the legendary Route 100 tour.

Now that August is here and we’re all starting to crave cold mornings and the return of snowboard season, it feels like a good time to revisit one of our favorite trips.
