That 9pm text every big bait guy waits for... “Tomorrow. Nothing but HUGE glides. You in?” I couldn’t say YES fast enough. Rules were simple: Big glides only. No small stuff. No finesse. Go big or go home. Problem was I only had a 4 hour window. We went anyway. After 2 spots with no luck we moved to the other side of the lake and on the 2nd cast with the @double.h_usa MIR This GIANT Northern shows up like a submarine. You hear it in the video - “Dude, he won’t even fit in the net. I can’t even get him in the picture, he’s so big.” Absolute TANK of a pike. On a glide that was almost as big as he is. That’s what happens when you commit to the big bait program. You don’t get a lot of bites, but the ones you get are the ones you remember. Thanks for the call @spm_fishing - next time I’m clearing the whole day.

Got to get out of the kayak today and lay the wood to some melons today with @spm_fishing! No bigs were snatched but a bunch of bass on a Kermit is a great day in my book. Nice to see what a healthy lake in New York looks like when it’s not being drowned in chemicals!

Thanks so much to everyone for the nice messages, comments and votes. “Blue Strandy Shred Take 2” was the winner!!! Check out this killer backing track by @titan_tracks called “Iron Empire Hard Rock in E Minor” and give it a rip yourselves. He’s got some great stuff on his YT and this was really fun to play over. #guitar #guitarsolo #shred #guitarist #rocknroll

I broke out my beloved blue Strandy for some gratuitous 80s shred over this killer backing track by @titan_tracks called “Iron Empire Hard Rock in E Minor.” I gave myself 45 minutes to record and these three solos are what came out. Which take is your favorite?! These were the three keeper takes recorded in order: Take 1 = Slide 1, Take 2 = Slide 2, Take 3 = Slide 3. Vote and let me know why you chose the take you chose in the comments! Cheers… #guitar #guitarsolo #shred #80s #rocknroll
