Today makes one year since my accident, and in that year I've learned a lot.

I've learned that I can make the most of any situation.

I'm a lot more patient than I thought I was.

How to treat myself better, trying to eat very clean and take care my body the best I can. Along with being kinder and more forgiving to myself.

I try to make better use of my time

I've read over 20 books this year. I've also started to learn a new language

I actually really like going to shows. I went to my first one in my wheelchair and have gone to many since. I love art museums and the arts in general, and going to stand up comedy shows.

I like trying new recipes and sharing meals with friends.

I've gotten closer with friends and family.

I've traveled more. Making money and saving is cool, but you also can't take it with you when you go and when I look at the year before my accident when I worked all the time, I don't feel like it was a year well lived. Can't say that about this year though.

I made new friends. shared experience.

I picked back up the guitar. I played for a few months when I was a kid. I'm pretty dang good at it and naturally gifted (if I do say so myself)

I learned I still got it and was able to crush a little backpacking trip. And that I am not as limited as I was worried I would be. I'm a lot stronger than I give myself credit for sometimes.

I got a bunch of new ink. (Sorry not sorry mom and dad. I'm statistically not going to get sex trafficked cause I'd be too identifiable. I did it for ...safety)

I faced my fear of going off a cliff again and did it a few times in one week. By the third jump I was feeling way more confident than I did the first time. I had never been so scared to jump as I was that first time back and also glad those nerves eased a bit.

I learned I'm a lot more confident and stronger than I used to be. I've gotten better at standing up for myself. I also realize I can handle more than I thought.

Breaking myself like that was one of my worst fears. And now I'm on the other side of that fear. I can take a hit and come out on the other side of it. And come back stronger.

I'm grateful for everything I've been through.

2026 Lightbulb Media Show Reel

It took a lot of meetings and ideas and calories and miles to make these projects happen. Thank you to everyone who spent their time with us over the last few years.

Very excited that @juggernaut3500 and I will be the @22jumpsproject athletes this year at the Twin Falls event on Memorial Day weekend.

We will be jumping off the bridge and hiking out of the canyon 22 times in one day. 10,000ft of vertical gain in about 5 miles.

22 Jumps is a nonprofit working to advance traumatic brain injury research and suicide prevention for veterans. Each year, they host a retreat in Moab where veterans experience community and action sports as a way to process and reframe trauma.

To fund this work, they rely on donations and events where BASE jumpers and the community come together to drive support for the mission. 22 jumps is a symbol of the 22 veteran lives lost each day to suicide.

I feel so grateful to get to be a part of this even if those hike outs are going to burrrn!
