A classic black & white invite for Carolyn @carolynjbeach & Travis’ romantic wedding at the iconic @fairmontsanfrancisco in their beloved San Francisco, California.

Our couple’s invitation suite is a true classic displaying black on white lettering. A black satin bow wraps its crisp vellum cover.

The white ink calligraphy elegantly addresses these distinguished invites. A final touch of adornment is the white initialed wax seal affixed on the black envelopes like buttoning up a fine tuxedo.

Lastly, is the Fairmont Venue Illustration etched on our couple’s envelope lining which encompasses the magnificent suite.

If you’re trying to compose impactful floral arrangements by sticking strictly to a mathematical stem count, something is missing.

I find that flower recipes for impactful designs do not start from rigid formulas or exact ingredient or quantity lists. They emerge from a strategic creative process

Flower recipes are a strategic roadmap you create for how floral elements can coexist. We are not working with flowers to create a computation — what we are creating is a conversation.

Building a flower recipe with impact revolves around how you want your composition to feel, what kind of experience you want it to invite, what emotions you want it to evoke.

When you shift your focus from “how many” to “how do these stems speak to one another,” your designs completely transform. You stop filling a vessel and start creating an experience.

Here are a few key elements I use to bring stems together for my arrangements:

1. Connection — creating a conversation

2. Color — building a palette that evokes the feeling I want

3. Experiments — mock-ups, creative exploration, and process!

4. Function — pairing focals, foliages, fillers, and floaty flowers

5. Variety — selecting various shapes and sizes for harmony

6. Season — letting the season guide my style and selections

So, drop a note below — do you design more by feeling and intuition than by hard numbers? This is a lively conversation to explore.

With love and flowers,

XX Jen

A beautiful celebration, brought to life in every shade of pink.

Set against the stunning golf course views at Omni La Costa Resort, this wedding featured a romantic palette of pink tones, layered textures, and thoughtful details throughout the day.

From the ceremony to cocktail hour and the reception, we were honored to contribute rentals that complemented the vision and helped create a cohesive look from one space to the next.

Where every rental tells a story, and this one was bursting with pink.

Save this celebration for your wedding inspiration, or share it with someone dreaming of a pink-filled day.

Muted tones, warm textures, and a design that never had to try too hard.

Susan from @weddingsbysusandunne layered shades of brown and cream to create a setting that felt warm, collected, and completely effortless.

We loved bringing the linens into that story, adding texture and depth without taking away from the beauty of the overall design.

But the tables were never meant to be the finished story.

The guests became the final layer, bringing their own energy, conversations, and moments to the design.

And suddenly, everything felt exactly as it should. #designthetablefirst
