My senior season comes to a close and I couldn’t possible be more proud of these men and women, myself included. I’ve been on this team since 7th grade and I’ve loved every minute of it. Although it was tough sometimes and there were times I thought maybe I could have done better, when the race was run, I haven’t a regret in my soul. This team will be in my heart for as long as I live and I’m so grateful for each and every one of you. Many of my closest friendships came from running with all of you and to this day those friendships stand. I’m so excited to see what you all will do with yourselves. I myself will try to continue running for a club in college because the camaraderie and belonging I feel on a team of runners is unmatched. I wish I could stay here forever but then what would it be worth. I love you all. Run your hearts out. See you in track.

Are you making the most of what you worked for all summer? Maybe, maybe not. I’m sure there were plenty of long runs you talked about your goals and plans for the season, so bright eyed and excited.

If this season gone how you want thus far, congrats, that is excellent. If not, there is still time to right the path. Are you recovering properly? Eating right? Taking easy days easy? Not dipping too far into the well on workout days? Too stressed? There’s still time, just decide what you want this season to be 💪🏻💛💚

Your #1 runner can only be, and only ever will be, as good as your #7, or your #27 runner for that matter! A team is one, a family, a cohesive working unit, and if any member is racing for themselves or to beat the guy in front of them on their team, it will fall apart. Race for one another, and the team championships and faster times will come!
