FEATURED CAR | 1931 STUDEBAKER INDY RACE CAR 37 A true piece of American racing history is coming to the 2026 Radnor Hunt Concours d’Elegance. Built in 1930 at the Studebaker Proving Grounds, Car 37 competed in the 1931 Indianapolis 500 with Tony Gulotta behind the wheel. After charging past 18 cars in just 46 laps and taking the lead, its incredible run ended after hitting oil left from an earlier accident. Later that year, 37 returned to competition at the Pikes Peak Hill Climb, where it won the race and set a new overall record. The car went on to finish 6th at the 1932 Indianapolis 500 as part of Studebaker’s legendary five-car team. The Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner was a smashing success! It was truly a night to remember at Westwynd Gardens, a stunning new venue in Honey Brook. The event began with a cocktail networking hour in the greenhouse, complete with delicious appetizers and beautiful music by Brian Fitzy. As the night continued, Chamber members delighted in an elegant plated meal from Catering By John Lowe. The entire venue was adorned with absolutely gorgeous floral arrangements by The Stem’s End, who simply never fail to impress! During the dinner, Board member Donna McCorkle presented the 2025 Joseph G. Filoromo, Jr. Community Service Award to Greg Krajewski, of Paragon Business Gifts. Greg was selected for this award for his long-standing commitment to his community. Most recognized, Greg was the driving force behind bringing back the beloved Strawberry Festival to the City of Coatesville in 2025. The Elliott R. Jones Chamber Award recipient was announced at the Annual Dinner; recognizing a member who has dedicated endless time to our organization. Board member Mikaila Szkil, of Citadel Credit Union, proudly announced that the 2025 honoree is Claudia Muntean, owner of Clarel Maintenance. A fellow Board member, Claudia has spent much of her time leading our Membership Committee efforts, where she continuously comes up with creative ideas to grow our membership and benefits. Lastly, we recognized our 2025 Chamber Board President John H. Lymberis for his stellar work this year. Our first ever third-time Board President, John’s theme was Praising Our Past, Forging Our Future. John introduced incoming Board President Alissa Griffith, of Quik Stop Pharmacy. Alissa unveiled her presidential theme - Rooted in History, Ready for Tomorrow: Celebrating 250 years of local business and American Spirit. The night was made possible by our incredible sponsors.
