The person must give up for some time, to rest, to pass in front of him what he represents and does not represent.💆‍♂️💆🏻‍♀️

Okay this is a cool story. The hat on my head was once my fave lid. But in April 2019, my family and I lost 80/90 percent of what we owned in the massive flood. Our home, on the Gatineau side of the Ottawa river, had 3.5 feet of water on the main floor and that stayed high for 6 weeks. This hat was one of the many casualties. Sloans mom found @northstandard in 2017 or so and I’ve been a fan since. I had even emailed them a few times in 2020 to say I’d happily be interested in wearing their stuff on my social media. I never heard anything - until John from @talking_albums found the company on his own and contacted them again - and Frank (one of the owners) called me personally to say he was sorry my notes were missed and that he wanted to work with me and loved hearing about Graventown. He also said my song “Sloan” about my daughter made him emotional as he has a young son and felt some similar things. He sent me a box of stuff to try and among other things this awesome shirt (which heavily promotes my views of acceptance) + this exact hat were magically in there! Damn. That is some seriously spiritual shiznit. I’m beyond excited to work with these folks. More to come. All I’ve ever wanted was to make a place where everyone is welcome and it’s epiphanal to see that start to happen on a small scale. Come hang in Graventown tonight - where love is love - and you can be you. 9 PM EST on IG Live. $15 suggested but your presence is the best gift. Etransfer: gravencanada@gmail.com /
PayPal: gavinesque@yahoo.com. (And if you order yer suds online from @bigrigbrewery - use the promo code GRAVEN for a 15% off) 🖤🌈❤️🙏🔥🚀🎸☀️

Yesterday I met a fella who had quad bypass surgery in the fall. His surgeon and doctor told him he literally died briefly during surgery. Life rebooted. He is happy and healthy now. We Snowshoed and he said my music helped him recover. This new pal (who is the same age as me) taught me some things. You never know your reach. And though we think we might, we don’t have a lot of time. I hope you find a way to make your life count. Bandcamp Friday - so fees are removed. It’s a great day to support independent music. Graventown at 9 EST 2nite on the Gram. It’s a good day to see another day. ❤️ Use the promo code GRAVEN if you order any delish delights from @bigrigbrewery today.
