There’s a powerful quote I came across by Vogue photographer Richard Avedon when I started out capturing people years which had always stuck with me…

“My portraits are more about me than they are about the people I photograph.”

It’s always different people, different places and different reasons for being in front of my camera.

But the common thread has always been me.

Side note: AI label refers to the soundtrack. All photography and editing is mine. 🙄

A proud moment last weekend at the premiere of Precognition. 2 years ago I was asked to do some special effects on a weekend shoot of an independent film. I fell in love with it the concept and Landa Pictures. A weekend became months and years of special effects, makeup, hair, attempted help in sound, lighting and background acting. I made some amazing friends, some of the best memories and helped on a piece of work that I’m so proud of. Everyone in this photo worked so hard to make Precognition (or in previous Insta posts App For Life) a thing and I couldn’t have been more happy to share this evening with everyone ❤️ #pleasenevermakeapostthischeesyeveragain

Day 27 - Moving two people into a new house can be a difficult transition, moving two people into a single room from a house is a nightmare! A lot of things are being donated or just plain thrown out and whilst looking through my old things I found this amazing card made for me by a friend at Uni! It was fun to look at the pictures but it was sad to think of the many people who have affected my life in so many ways and who have slipped away so casually. People come into your life for a reason but also leave for a reason, I just hope the reason was never me or something I have done.
More importantly I spent the day having fun with my family.
Eating, watching children's films on Telly, copious napping and a quick, if intense, round of pictionary!
Now I must go as I am being ordered to pay attention to Skyfall by my little sisters!
