Official @spursofficial Supporters Association. Fan-lead, for all Spurs fans! Celebrating values & cultures of fans from underrepresented backgrounds.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Black history is Spurs history and our history belongs to ALL of us. 🤍

On Wednesday, I was proud to join
@spursofficial and @showracismtheredcard for a powerful Black History Month event.

An afternoon celebrating trailblazers, breaking barriers and inspiring the next generation.

From Walter Tull, our first Black player, to the unveiling of Spurs’ First Black XI, we celebrated those who helped shape our club, alongside former Men’s and Women’s players and Walter’s family.

🎤 I had the privilege of speaking about @spursreach and why representation, belonging and giving underrepresented supporters a voice matters.

🎥 A personal highlight was sharing Black and Lilywhite, written by our committee member @dkosei and produced with the Club.

As we mark Black History Month and @premierleague’s No Room For Racism campaign, one message stands out:

Racism doesn’t disappear after 90 minutes. Neither should our commitment to tackling it.

Education matters. Representation matters. ACTION matters.

As a lifelong Spurs fan, I’m proud of our history, but even more determined to help shape a future where everyone belongs.

Because celebrating our pioneers means nothing if we allow the same barriers to exist for the next generation.

Different backgrounds. Shared history. One Spurs. 🤍

All together. Different.
All together. Spurs.

THEY BOTH SAY I’M NOT ENOUGH

I’ve been told I’m “not really English” because of the colour of my skin.

I’ve also been called a “coconut” and a “sell out” because I support England.

It’s strange how people at opposite ends of the spectrum can arrive at the same conclusion… that someone else gets to decide who I am.

They don’t.

I refuse to choose between being English and being South Asian because I never had to. Those identities aren’t in competition. They coexist every single day.

I support England because it’s my country.

I celebrate my Indian heritage because it’s my family’s story.

Neither cancels out the other.

If that makes some people uncomfortable, perhaps it’s time we questioned why.

🗣️ "Walking up to the stadium, talking to strangers, carrying a flag that also carried the logos of Kick It Out and the Football Supporters’ Association, I felt proud. Proud of the journey. Proud I was representing my country. Proud to be an England supporter with South Asian heritage who was not on the outside looking in, but right there in the middle of the World Cup, taking up space, backing England, being visible."

England fan Sash Patel reflects on his journey to the World Cup and what it means to be visible as a supporter with South Asian heritage.

Different backgrounds, different personalities, different walks of life… but brought together by one badge, one club, one love. 🤍

What started as supporting Tottenham Hotspur has become something much bigger… a family.

Through the highs, the heartbreaks, the away days, the European matches, the laughs and the memories, these people have become my Spurs family.

Football is never just football. It’s the people you share it with 🤍

Wishing a peaceful and happy Vesak to everyone celebrating around the world. ☸️

Vesak, also known as Buddha Purnima, is one of the most important festivals in Buddhism, commemorating the birth, enlightenment and passing of Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha.

Observed across many countries and cultures, Vesak is a time for reflection, compassion, kindness and peace.

From everyone at Spurs REACH, Happy Vesak. 🪷

Expecting abuse has become the norm

The moment @kevin.danso made that mistake, I knew what was coming and the fact I expected the abuse says everything about how normalised this has become.

When I see the abuse directed at Kevin Danso, I’m reminded that racism in football hasn’t disappeared, it’s just become louder, bolder and more brazen in digital spaces. This isn’t “banter.” This is harm and it cuts deep.

As part of the @spursofficial family, we pride ourselves on being inclusive but this means nothing if we stay silent when someone is targeted. Solidarity isn’t a statement; it’s action in the moments that matter most.

The @premierleague tells us there is “No Room for Racism”, but campaigns alone don’t change culture, people do. Every supporter, every club, every platform has a role in making those words real.

Calling it out isn’t optional, it’s a responsibility. Whether it’s in the stands, online or in our own circles, we must challenge racism, hold others to account and refuse to normalise the unacceptable. Silence only protects the abuser, never the abused.

Social media platforms and institutions cannot continue to be passive hosts to hate. Accountability must be enforced, not suggested. Because until racism has consequences, it will continue to find a voice and we must be louder in shutting it down.

Real change requires action, accountability and consequence because until that happens, players like Kevin will continue to carry a burden they should never have to bear.

All together. Different.

Creating opportunities. Shifting mindsets. Leaving a legacy.

Sometime you don’t realise how far you’ve come until you pause and look back.

When I started this journey, it wasn’t about recognition, it was about people, about seeing potential where others didn’t. It’s been about creating spaces where young people and communities could feel seen, heard and believed in.

There have been challenges, moments of doubt and times where the work felt heavy but also moments of real impact that reminded me why it matters.

That’s why being nominated for a GG2 Diversity Hub GG2 Leadership Awards-Community Award 2026 means so much to me.

This isn’t just my story, it’s the story of every person we’ve supported through @spursreach l, every conversation that sparked change through @believable_consulting and every individual who chose to believe in something bigger.

This recognition is a reflection of that collective journey.

I’m proud, I’m grateful and I’m more motivated than ever to keep building, keep pushing and keep making a difference.

We’re just getting started 🫶🏽

Big thank you to all my friends, colleagues and organisations who continue to support making our communities more inclusive and vibrant.
