What a great evening at our Albion ride and film night 🎬

We set off on a beautiful breezy night for a 20km gravel ride before rolling back to Rivington Brewery for some food, beers and Albion's Mountains and trees film to finish things off.

A big thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a good night, we're already looking forward to the next one!

BACK TO MOROCCO… but this time, it wasn’t a race. Or was it?
In November I went back to Morocco solo, loosely following sections of the AMR 2026 route and Kings of the Atlas on a new MTB. The idea was simple: ride slow, stop more, actually see Morocco properly.
Instead I ended up racing a storm and losing, wading through a flooded gorge for hours, hiking Telouet in daylight after first meeting it at 2am in the snow during AMR, and realising that Kings of the Atlas is a bit much for my current tech skills on a loaded bike.

It is a film about trying (and not fully managing) to slow down, riding big days anyway, and letting the mountains set the pace in the end.

🎥 Full film now on YouTube – link in bio.
Race pace or party pace… what are you choosing?

Some of the kit that came with me:
Frame: Santa Cruz Blur CC
Drivetrain: Shimano XT, 32t chainring / 10–51 cassette
Wheels: @beespokewheels_uk custom carbon wheelset
Tyres: @schwalbetyresuk Wicked Will (front) & Racing Ralph (rear)
Bags: @tailfincycling long top tube bag, Tailfin Bar Bag, Tailfin downtube pack
Special mention goes to 1 pair of @ciovita Apex cargo bibs short which survived the whole trip, with some help from @bum_butter

Huge thanks to Andy and @merlincycles for sorting a warranty crankset just days before I flew out and making sure this trip could actually happen.

“Did we just ride through the Morrisons Car Park?” 🤷‍♂️🫣🤣

Yesterday was the day we took on the Sustrans Route 700 (“The Bay Cycle Way”) from Walney Island to Glasson Dock in wild winds, sunshine and showers! It’s the BCW’s 10th birthday this year and 14 of us set off from the wild Walney Coast with a 2-club wind behind us for this classic point to point around Morecambe Bay. 🌬️☔️☀️

The 130km route itself is a brilliant and classically British affair - some towns and villages, some mixed surfaces (road bikes are fine, but might not be optimally comfortable at times!), clever cut-throughs, beautiful views, stabby bastard climbs, landmarks and, at either end, a lovely wheel sculpture. It was a BLAST! 🛞🏖️👏

We’ll write up a blog post soon but for now enjoy 20 of the best from a big day out! 📸🚲👍
