With a strong effort from every athlete on the court, Calder Murray and Gladys Ho both advance to the Main Draw semifinals, and Hasti Shemirani upsets the top seed to reach the Companion Draw final!

Another major milestone for M2—We have officially passed the final building inspection! 🎉 At the same time, we are thrilled to welcome Ryan Picken (High Performance / Head Squash Professional at Hollyburn Country Club) to the M2 family. Exciting times are ahead—looking forward to kicking off our summer camp soon with David Baillargeon and Joe Kneipp! 🚀

Last day of spring programs at Panorama - and officially the end of our first full fall/winter/spring season. What a milestone. Huge thanks to @panoramarec @squashbc and @squashcanada for the support.

And thank you @nickysquash for being such a big part of this season. Loved watching the kids level up from foam balls to black/red dots 😍💪🏼

🎈Summer programs are coming: Squashers (8–12) + Munchkins (4–6) the week of July 13. Join us if you’re nearby!

The Summer Drop-in will run until mid-August and is open to all women players in the Metro Vancouver area that are members of Squash BC.

Sign up for each event by the Sunday prior to the event. The schedule for the matches will be sent out by noon on Monday.

It took me a while to reflect on the lessons I learned from Max’s first Nationals.

I can only speak for myself — but I’ve always wanted to document this journey:
watching him lose and grow, fail and stand back up again.

As a parent, I shared the frustrations and tears with him.
And somehow, I found myself growing alongside him too.

Growth wasn’t happening only to him.
It was happening to me as well.

成长的不只是他，还有我。🤍

On May 1st at the Squash Nationals at the Arbutus Club Shawn was inducted into the Canadian Squash Hall of Fame for 2026. He also played 5 gruelling matches in the Men’s Open. Everyone at VRC is extremely proud and supportive of our squash pro, he has the biggest heart and enthusiasm.
