I had the amazing opportunity to spend a day assisting/instructing on the ZR2 OffRoad Course at @area27okanagan with @bboadventures . This was a private event for some very lucky GM dealers from across Canada who had the opportunity to spend the day learning about the Chevrolet Colorado and Silverado Bisons on the offroad track. And also, to get out and drive the new Chevrolet Corvette C8's on the amazing race track.
What a day! I think Bill and I have found our retirement dream gig!

Putting the camper back together with the new bench. This will be a great start to being more organized. Bonus points, Cori says it's what she had envisioned!!

What would you do if you came back to camp and found this? 😂🫈

Well, bench storage is complete. I've learned some things using the 8020 stuff. Many times I had to undo corners as I needed to add a tnut somewhere. Maybe the passenger side counter I'll splurge for the tnuts that you can insert mid t-channel. Grass is back in minus under the bench until we do the other counter/cabinet at which time we will decide on the floor down the middle.

I do like how light the 8020 is. It's strong and light. I don't like how easily the black finish scratches. I didn't notice while I was flipping it around on the table during the build, until it was too late. I guess it will get scratch during use anyways.
Compared to wood, I do like how easy it is to fix a mistake while building by just removing a screw here and there.

Now I look forward to organizing the kitchen and "other" stuff from the wolfpacks.

Update! Frame is complete.

Now to cut the bench top and some wood for the shelves.

Last part is to secure to the floor and the truck box side (to the AluCab brackets)

Was supposed to have been almost done this bench project in the Alucab yesterday, but I ordered the wrong corner and angle stuff. The 8020 can get kind of confusing with all the different sizes. 1010 series is 1"x1" whole 2020 series is 20mm x 20mm. Anyhow, back on track and learning by trial and error with the order of putting things together.
Can't wait to get the framing done today!
