One of the most important things about Linen & Leaf is the family and friends who helped me (Taylor) build it.

When people come into the shop they will ask how this all came to be and my answer can never be short. The life's worth of experience and knowledge my family has taught me, along with the history that is tied to each element of the shop.

Tristen, my boyfriend of 10 year, and I have curated the store around or love of design, collecting, and creating spaces that feel warm, personal, and welcoming. Tristen and I are blessed to have a dynamic that we always understand the others vision and are enthusiastic to bring it to life. We are constantly learning from one and other and always finding new crafts and skills to broaden the scope of what we are capable of creating for not just ourselves, but teaching and creating for others.

I learned the antique and floral business from my father, Jeff, in Illinois, who has spent about 50 years collecting and running his own florist, Natures Nest. I grew up being a florist and learning the joy of working hard to makes others day feel special. Many of my dads treasured antique pieces now have a new home in L & L where we have refurbished and given them a new chapter to their story.

My love of teas was developed alongside my mother, Romy, who was deeply involved in curating the tea selection for our shop. Mom and I enjoyed exploring new teas all throughout my childhood into adulthood. Mom always talked about her dream of having a little tea shop to sit in the corner and crochet at, and now that is a heartwarming reality.

To try and convey the influence my family has had on me in a single post is virtually impossible, not to mention my grandparents and all of my friends. I treasure having such a wonderful and supportive circle of people.

L & L would not be what it is without them ❤️

I’m so grateful for this incredible cast, all of their hard work, and the care gone into Sondheim’s body of work.

I couldn’t think of a better way to make my directorial debut. I’m beyond grateful.

To know each and every one of these people is to love them, they’re budding with talent and MOST importantly they’re beautiful people.
