Philly Queer Grindcore Punk 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ The “Queercore Resident Supergroup” The Hirs Collective has released their latest album, Empty Urn. This is actually a collection of 15 rare tracks from various comps, B-sides, splits, out of print records, and more, but have all been remastered in a way that makes them sound like brand new - which they probably will be new to your ears, given this band has had over 50 different releases and most of them are hard to get your hands on. If you would love an unhinged mix of grindcore, hardcore punk, mathcore, powerviolence, and thrash metal - then you need to check them out ASAP #grindcore #hardcore #mathcore #powerviolence #hxc @hirs666 @getbetterrecords @srarecords @squareofopposition

PREMIERE! @deathbirdearth's new 90s-tastic music video for "Christchurch 281" is streaming now on The Obelisk with @jjkoczan "You’ll see the CRT television, VCR, Tank Girl soundtrack on vinyl and other ’90s detritus... Heavy noise is part of it, but there’s also a fitting sense of post-modernism to it; a chaotic world internalized and fed back to itself as a weighted, willful slog of a riff" Dig the vid and the full debut album, "Objective Consciousness" released earlier this year with @srarecords, on The Obelisk at the link in story and bio And don't miss Deathbird Earth's upcoming tour with @stinking_lizaveta! @timemazine_fanzine's TimeLord Michalis beams in a killer review of @stinking_lizaveta's new album! "The title track, “Cassandra, Prophet of Doom”, begins in a dreamy, doomy psychedelic mood, the electric guitar leading us through a dark and hazy path, slowly transforming the piece into a Super Heavylicious anthem before falling back into a doomier atmosphere, rising Heavy once again and then slowing down. Quite an adventurous journey and probably one of the strongest moments on the album" Dig the full review at the blog, link in story and bio, and get a load of those vinyls at @srarecords

@stinking_lizaveta's new LP "Cassandra, Prophet of Doom" gets a spectacular review from @comingupforblair79 in @ghostcultmag! "all the dexterity and flair of Eddie Van Halen and possibly Ace Frehley, the guitar work easily matching the likes of, say, 'Eruption.' ...Stinking Lizaveta are extraordinary; over the course of three decades they’ve managed to consistently produce music which is innovative, creative and vital; of which Cassandra, Prophet of Doom is yet another example" Read the full review at the link in story and bio.
