A Safer Future Begins With Awareness 💙🌍

This Week’s WIM Highlight: WIM Tea Break Discussion – “Every Child Deserves To Feel Safe”

Children are the foundation of our future, and protecting them is a responsibility that belongs to all of us.

Through this special WIM Tea Break Discussion, Women in Management (WIM) brought together parents, educational professionals, and child care facilitators to create awareness on the importance of child safeguarding and creating environments where every child feels safe, respected, and valued.

The session was conducted by the Certified Trainers of Maestral International, L.L.C., who shared global knowledge, practical approaches, and essential guidance on recognizing concerns, preventing harm, and strengthening the support systems around children.

At WIM, our commitment goes beyond empowering women and professionals — it extends to building a society where every child has the right to grow with dignity, confidence, and protection.

Because a child’s safety is not only a family responsibility.
It is a community responsibility.
It is a responsibility we all share. 💙

✨ Every child deserves to feel safe. Every child deserves to be heard. Every child deserves a future filled with hope.

There once was a mighty woman
Who’s soul was lined in gold
I may not know her story
But with each brushstroke the colors unfold

@srilankanslp training undergraduate speech pathology students at @ceylonspeechie on treatment giving to children with speech delays. Did you know the importance of history taking before treatment? It's paramount to the treatment and therapy targettd for speech many times. #ceylonspeechie #lka #speechpathology #earlyintervention #earlyintervention #NadiniWick

This child has completed only 12+ sessions with us. She is 9 years old and when she came around 3 months ago she hardly had a few single words. Today she has started to communicate verbally spontaneously giving good joint attention. She had a diagnosis of Austism but we realized that apraxia of speech is what kept her from speaking. We used several techniques to get verbal speech and joint attention developed even at this age. We used the @avaz.app for this child as we reckoned it the best for her. Communication makes a world of difference in children faced with speech delay and for their parents.
Lack of intervention/ speech therapy in speech delayed children can result in behavioral and academic concerns but a little professional help, some parent training and lots of activities with overflowing love does make a huge difference.
