To our eleven graduating seniors of the Class of 2026:

As your time at Stanton College Preparatory School comes to a close, I find myself reflecting not only on the work you produced, but on the people you became throughout this journey. Each of you brought something distinct to the Devil’s Advocate, intellect, creativity, humor, perspective, determination, leadership, and together, you helped shape the identity and spirit of this newsroom in ways that will endure long after graduation.

You challenged one another to think deeper, write sharper, design smarter, and lead more thoughtfully. You covered the stories that mattered, elevated student voices, and upheld the responsibility that comes with authentic journalism. More importantly, you built relationships, traditions, and memories that became part of the foundation of this publication and this program.

The impact you leave behind cannot be measured solely in articles, layouts, photographs, or headlines. It lives in the example you set for younger staff members who watched you work, listened to your guidance, and learned what commitment and excellence truly look like.

Thank you for the countless afternoons, late nights, stressful deadlines, conversations, laughter, and moments that defined your time here. It has been an honor to watch you grow into the remarkable young adults you are becoming.

No matter where life takes you next, know that you will always remain a part of the Devil’s Advocate family. Your voices, your leadership, and your legacy will continue to echo through our school and Room 204 for years to come.

I am proud of you all, and I will miss you dearly.
