auntie sarah came to visit. I was sketchy at first, but now we make out.

She’s my favorite. She’s also the only New Yorker to come visit me. I’m keeping track 👀👀👀

It’s fascinating to see how STILL MOVING breaks traditional art boundaries by merging poetry, technology, and dance into an immersive experience. The interaction between the human body and the written word, amplified by blockchain technology, opens up new possibilities for the creation and consumption of art. This work not only celebrates poetry in a digital format but also turns it into a physical and visceral act, where dance allows the audience to ‘read’ the poem in a completely new way. It’s a brilliant example of how technology can enrich artistic expressions and offer personalized and unique interpretations. Projects like this invite us to rethink the relationship between art, the body, and the digital, leading us to a future where the boundaries between disciplines fade away. I love it!🧡

POEM = DANCE TRACK.

Flashback to May 2023 and our @friezeofficial week performance of STILL MOVING - the @krisbones1 remix of my curated @artblocks_io release with @nathanielstern - with text and vocals by me and danced by the incredible @latina_ballerina, using her body to read and engage with the poem in real time. Presented at @lumestudios with huge thanks to @clay.devlin @dotannegrin @aseemsuri and @srossien. 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽

Released on @artblocks_io in April 2023, STILL MOVING is an interactive poem about humanity’s visceral engagement with the virtual – written and published via the blockchain as a token word performance, and embodied by each collector as a uniquely intimate, personalized interpretation.

The first fully on-chain, fully-embodied interactive artwork, STILL MOVING has been exhibited and performed all across the world, including at the Artblocks Marfa weekend, as part of Frieze in NYC, in Chicago, Lisbon, Miami, and elsewhere. And, it’s part of GENERATION-TO-GENERATION, my forthcoming show with @nathanielstern, opening 2025 at @kraslartcenter.
