I don’t usually post sappy stuff about the shows I do. Theatre is a fun passion that I’ve always done for myself, ever since I was like 10. After a while once you finish a show, it becomes more and more routine. “Okay cool that’s done, onto the next” type of vibes (if you’ve ever been in or worked on a show I’ve done, I love u dearly. This is just me saying I never find myself getting emotional over a production wrapping up). However, every now and then, the right show with the right cast comes at the right time. I can truly say that Alice by Heart was a healing experience. As some of you may or may not know, the last year or two have not been easy, with last semester probably being the hardest time of my life. I’m not gonna go on a long expositional rant or anything, but I will say the pure passion, joy, and hard work the cast and crew bought to every rehearsal and performance helped me find a piece of passion, joy, and confidence in myself that I really needed to find again. I cannot thank each and every member of this production enough for that. I can honestly say I won’t miss Ithaca that much when I leave (sorry 😗✌️), but I will miss every one who helped make this show what it has become 🫶.
