What a crazy weekend down in Las Vegas at the Battle of Champions, going head to head against some of the fastest riders from across the states! Man, did this weekend make me work for every inch. Saturday I nearly got ejected off the bike after making a mistake going into one of the turns, but somehow managed to hang on and finish the race. Sunday we went back out ready to push again, only for me to accidentally launch in second gear and watched the entire field pass me into turn one. With a dozen of the fastest guys in the class ahead of me, I had my work cut out for me, but managed to fight my way back through the pack and finish P3 in the Amateur Middleweight! Huge thanks to everyone who came down to support me this weekend, @warrenjzitting @derrelldanbarlow @chasebarhigh @warren84151 @samuel_chatwin And to all my sponsors and everyone behind the scenes who helped make this possible. My second race report for @wmrra_racing season at @theridgemotorsportspark . “I suck and whats the point.” Keeps going thru my mind. Started off strong got a better start. held p4 for 2 laps, but all I did was hold back the faster guys and got passed 5 times before finishing p7. 🤣☠️ I PB’d a 1:57.5, while the faster guys i was holding back were doing 1:55’s after they got around me. Last lap i just did 2:00 and tried to just keep the bike upright feeling defeated. Good battle for position with @eric.l45 and @sschocked until they pulled away. Congrats to @jonathan.spiva and @brandon.wanlass for absolutely killing it out there! You guys rock! Good job everyone for finishing the race. Gotta Reset and get better. Completed @wmrra_racing New Race School hosted by @2fasttrackdays Friday and did my first race the next day. To say it was a lot is an understatement. Prepping the bike and myself to race was a lot, got overwhelming but thankful for the friends who’ve helped me along the way. Racing was never something I thought I would be able to do until I joined this community of trackday enthusiasts. So I made it a goal to race before I turn 40 this year. And now that I have, I am hooked. I podiumed 3rd my first race and DNF’d the second due to mechanical issue. Glad it wasnt worse. The racing community is made up of people from vastly differing backgrounds, yet all come together as a family while competing with each other. Thankful to @wittyrn24 for putting up with my race aspirations and going above and beyond showing me support and my girls as well. I am beyond grateful. Thanks @recklessmoto_369 @jstilt54 @gpowersphotography for comin out to watch. Shoutout to @teamboc_trackdays who @my_mini_rsv4 and I pitted with for being awesome pitmates. They kept us on time and helped become out impromptu pit crew getting our warmers off and stands off making us wait to leave till last call. Track family right thre. Just want to share with you why I began my ALWAYS CHOOSE JOY wristbands. Here is just one of many beautiful moments last night. I felt her heart breaking from afar so I approached her with my wristband. She shared the predicament she was in and how it felt like a dead end. When she read what was on my band I felt her heart lighten up and smiled. She asked me to text her the photo which I did this morning and the second image was her response.
