Today was orientation, and it really hit me: this fall will be my first semester as an adjunct professor teaching film, something I’ve dreamed about for a very long time.

Honestly, it still feels a little surreal. And if I’m being completely honest, the imposter syndrome is real. There’s a part of me wondering if I’m ready, if I belong in the room, and if I’m really prepared for this next chapter.

I may not feel 100% confident right now, but there is one thing I am 100% confident about: I’m fully equipped to give my students a great educational experience an I’m thankful from the support from @sschroth and @leenajayaswal1.

I’ve spent years studying film, making films, working in production, learning from my own experiences, and, perhaps most importantly, learning how to teach and mentor young filmmakers. Now I get the opportunity to bring all of that into the classroom. I’m excited…

So here’s to the first semester. To learning alongside my students, making mistakes, growing as an educator, and hopefully inspiring the next generation of filmmakers.

A dream that once felt so far away is finally becoming real. 🎬
